Hotel California (Luxxury Edit) - The Eagles
Following his outstanding remix of Golden Years by David Bowie, Baron von Luxxury proves once again that there's new life to be found even in the most over-played standards of popular music. And who would have thought Hotel California of all tracks could sound fresh ever again? But this version is possibly the best Luxxury remix yet. Using "vocoders, Moroder-y synth bass and all... and made using (mostly) only bits from the original multitrack stems" this track was used to open Greg Wilson's recent eight hour set at Berghain. Thanks to the Baron for giving us the premiere today - and on Thursday we'll be following this up with Luxxury's Slow Edit Mixtape '78.
